Omar Bravo signed as a designated player with Sporting Kansas City ahead of the 2011 season.
With his incredible track record of goal scoring in Liga MX with Chivas, Bravo was brought in by Peter Vermes to lead the newly rebranded Kansas City attack.
At the time, head coach Peter Vermes said of Bravo that, "[Bravo] can smell the game, he can smell situations. Just having his smarts around the goal is going to make us a better team."
While Bravo’s time in Kansas City was short lived, he finished the 2011 in a three-way tie for top scorer with 9 goals. He also added two assists.
This primary Sporting blue match worn shirt is believed to have been worn by Omar Bravo on July 6th, 2011 against the Colorado Rapids.
Bravo’s shirt shows a solid amount of wear with some pulls/pilling on the left sleeve, presumably some of which came from the captain’s armband he wore that match. There are a few unidentified red stains and other darker stains in that same area.
The back numbers show some wear as well but are not cracking — it’s more like they were scuffed a bit by being grabbed and crinkled.
This shirt is unsigned.
