Ike was a massive part of the success of Sporting Kansas City in the 2010's.
The North Carolina native helped anchor the backline alongside Matt Besler for several seasons and won the 2013 MLS Cup, 2015 US Open Cup, and 2017 US Open Cup with the club.
Opara also won the MLS Defender of the Year award in 2017.
SKC hasn't had a center back of his caliber since his departure after the 2018 season.
Ike wore this shirt during the 2016 season and signed it on the back next to the numbers.
These "windowpane" kits were worn in 2015 and 2016 as the club's primary kit. They do have some interesting details, however, such as the “Founding Team” patch on the inside of the jersey beneath the crest. This can be found on any of Major League Soccer’s nine founding club’s shirts that launched in 2015.
