Eric Kronberg was selected 40th overall in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft.
The goalkeeper spent almost a decade with the Kansas City Wizards and Sporting Kansas City, but made just 25 appearances in that time.
This special kit was created to honor former Wizards founder Lamar Hunt.
Hunt had passed away in December of 2006 and the jerseys were created to honor him and his legacy in American soccer.
The match on May 12th, 2007 against FC Dallas, another MLS club he had founded, was played in his honor with FC Dallas winning 2-1.
Kansas City wore a special crest that was an altered version of the club badge with Lamar Hunt’s initials.
These kits were auctioned for charity after the match.
Kronberg did not play and his shirt is only match issued.
