Tony Meola represented the Kansas City Wizards in the 2002 Pepsi MLS All-Star game, playing for Bruce Arena’s United States Men’s National Team against the MLS All-Stars.
Meola was part of the starting XI for the USMNT and went the first 45 minutes before being subbed off to start the second half.
The goalkeeper wore this shirt in the first half of that All-Star game and it has some moderate signs of wear with a few odd bobbles/pulls and some wash and age wear in the name and number set.
On the left sleeve the PHILIPS sponsorship patch has some age related (and possibly wash related) wear as it has shifted from white to a slightly red tinge over time.
This shirt is another that was originally sourced from Tony Meola’s own personal collection.
