Krisztián Németh’s original stint with Sporting Kansas City was brief, but the Hungarian made all the difference in 2015 as the club won their third US Open Cup title.
Németh scored 15 goals and added 7 assists for an incredible 22 goal contributions in his first season with the club. The effort earned him the club’s Newcomer of the Year award and marked him as the most productive new signing since the club’s inception in 1996.
He even won the MLS Goal of the Year for his incredible individual effort against the Timbers.
Krisztián’s impact was immediate but it was brief. He was sold to Al-Gharafa SC in Qatar prior to the 2016 season.
Németh would eventually return to MLS and to Sporting Kansas City, but he never quite reached the highs of his debut season with the club.
Krisztián Németh wore this white argyle third match worn shirt for Sporting Kansas City at some point during the 2015 season.
Németh’s shirt has a few signs of wear and some smudges or dirt near the right hand waist/hip of the jersey.
It is signed by the Hungarian on the back.
The club introduced the white argyle kits in 2015 and they were a hit with supporters. It is the last third kit the club wore onto the pitch as of 2023.
