After a couple of seasons in the wilderness, Dániel Sallói regained his form in 2021 by scoring 16 goals and adding 8 more assists in 30 matches for Sporting Kansas City.
Sallói was an important part of the side finishing 3rd in the Western Conference in 2021. His performance earned him an MLS All-Star nod that season.
The "Hungarian Assassin" has climbed his way to fifth all-time on the club's goal-scoring leaderboard with 48 goals. He needs just four goals to pass Davy Arnaud for fourth, and he's only five goals behind Johnny Russell who is fifth.
"Showtime" Sallói signed a new four year contract with Sporting Kansas City in 2022 which will keep him in Sporting blue into his early thirties.
Given that and past performance, it seems possible that Sallói will have a shot at apporaching Preki's club goal-scoring record of 81.
This shirt was worn by Sallói on September 26th, 2021 against Seattle Sounders in match that SKC lost 2-1. It features the special (and incredible) Kick Childhood Cancer/Victory Project nameset on the back and the Kick Childhood Cancer patch on the front.
It is signed by Sallói and was acquired from the club's annual kitman sale.
