Graham Zusi is easily one of the top players to wear the badge at Sporting Kansas City.
Zusi left SKC as the longest-tenured player at one club in Major League Soccer history. He is the club’s all-time leader in appearances (411), starts (358), and minutes (32,723) across all competitions.
#8 is also second in club history in assists (90) and total goal contributions (125).
While he did perform on the field for a decade plus, Zusi will also be known for his contributions to the club and community off the pitch. It will not be long before we see his name alongside other the other Sporting Legends at Children’s Mercy Park.
The black argyle third kits are extremely rare. I’ve only seen a couple of them that were match worn in my time collecting. They are even rare on the secondary market in retail versions, as well.
Zusi wore this shirt at some point during the 2013 season.
The jersey has some mild signs of wear. There is one small pull and some cracking of the IVY FUNDS sponsorship print which is common in these shirts. It was acquired from someone close to the club and it’s addition makes it one of the jewels of my collection.
