Jewsbury retired in 2016 as one of only 10 players to play more than 350 matches in Major League Soccer. He played 195 of those with the Kansas City Wizards from 2003-2010.
Jewsbury was a Missouri native who was drafted 43rd overall in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft by the Wizards, and he helped them capture the 2004 US Open Cup title.
He scored 14 league goals and 20 assists while with the club.
Jack Jewsbury wore this specially crested Lamar Hunt shirt on May 12th, 2007 against FC Dallas. Hunt was the founder of the Kansas City Wizards and also owned FC Dallas and Columbus Crew. He had passed away in December of 2006 and the jerseys were created to honor him and his legacy in American soccer.
FC Dallas won the match over the Wiz, 2-1.
Jack's shirt has a few pulls and minor stains on the back.
These shirts were auctioned by the team after the match and I’m thrilled to have gotten my hands on another one as it’s one the rarest and most unique the club has worn.
