Alexandru Zotinca immigrated to the United States from Romania in 2000 and began playing for the Kansas City Comets indoor soccer team. In 2003, he moved up to Major League Soccer and the Kansas City Wizards.
Zotinca spent four seasons with Kansas City, playing a variety of positions early on before moving to right back on a consistent basis.
He played in 85 matches for the Wiz, scoring 3 goals and 2 assists in the league in his time with the club.
The Wizards finished 2nd in the Western Conference and made the playoffs in 2003 despite posting an 11-10-9 record. They fell in the Conference Finals to eventual champion San Jose Earthquakes.
Zotinca’s shirt has moderate signs of wear and/or aging but remains in pretty stellar condition.
It is signed by the player on the back numbers.
