Kerry Zavagnin remains a fixture in Kansas City long after his retirement.
The midfielder spent 9 seasons with the Wiz on the field and has been an assistant with the club ever since.
His partnership on the bench with Peter Vermes has produced four trophies in the past decade and just inched out another first place finish in the Western Conference.
Kerry Zavagnin made 29 starts in 2007 and had 3 goals and 2 assists. The Wiz themselves were pretty mediocre (at best), but managed to make the conference finals before falling to Houston.
It was Zavagnin’s last full season in MLS.
Zavagnin’s shirt has both blue US Soccer Foundation patches (left sleeve & below the number on the back) and the club’s lone championship star sewn in above the crest.
It is signed by Zavagnin on the back. This shirt came from Zavagnin's own collection and was acquired from Classic Football Shirts.
Zavagnin was named a Sporting Legend in 2016 for his contributions as a player and coach. The club certainly owes a debt to him for his nearly two full decades of service.
