Chris Henderson joined the Kansas City Wizards in 1999 and ultimately spent two seasons with the club.
He appeared in 30 matches in 1999, scoring 3 goals and adding 6 assists as he established himself as an important part of the framework that would eventually win the 2000 MLS Cup.
In 2000, Henderson scored 9 goals and 9 assists and was a very important piece for Bob Gansler’s side and the clubs first championship.
Henderson’s long-sleeved secondary shirt is match issued and has one very noticeable flaw.
It was originally crested with the number 99 instead of 19, and the first 9 was removed and replaced with a 1 to make Henderson’s familiar number 19.
The removed 9 is still visible on the shirt.
