Chris Henderson played for the Kansas City Wizards during the 1999 and 2000 seasons
Henderson was a regular for KC in both seasons, but the 2000 season saw him contribute 9 goals and 9 assists as an important part of the club’s march to the Supporter’s Shield and MLS Cup title
The Wizards won the MLS Cup on October 15th, 2000 with a 1-0 victory over the Chicago Fire
Henderson played the full 90 minutes in the match
This jersey was worn by Chris Henderson in that 2000 MLS Cup match
It shows some solid signs of wear with some spotting/staining on the left-hand side, along with what appears to be other staining (likely grass) that has faded on the right side of the shirt on the front and back
One interesting note about the Wizards shirts in 2000 is that the Kansas City 150th Anniversary patch was often worn, but wasn’t always worn on every single jersey in every match
This little oddity can be seen clearly as the 150 patch is visible on some player’s jerseys and visibly not on other player’s jerseys in the pre-game squad photo taken before the 2000 MLS Cup match, with Henderson’s not featuring the 150 patch
Henderson’s shirt features the 2000 MLS Cup patch on the sleeve, as well as two separate US Soccer Foundation sponsorship patches
This jersey was acquired along with a few other jerseys from Chris Henderson’s personal collection and then later purchased by BHC
